Appropriate management of the classroom is very important when creating a good learning environment for students that is conductive to learning. There are many tools and techniques that a teacher can use to ensure the best teaching environment (such as: teachers tone of the voice to control lecture tempo, gestures to enhance learning, optimal seating arrangements for classes). These tools have a degree of flexibility to allow the teacher to appropriately adapt to the situation/circumstances at hand. However various choices, have individual consequences(pro's and con's) and teachers must be aware of them to avoid unnecessary problems that may result from each choice. For example: A poor decision on class seating arrangement (Orderly rows) when students are about to take part in a group activity (Role playing), may not be conductive to ensure effective participation amongst the learners. Hence the teacher must be aware and mindful when planning lessons in the future and implementing class management tools correctly .
