This unit is about Teaching productive skills---speaking and writing. First?we need to know why they want to speak. There are four reasons: some communication purpose, want to say something, want to listen to something and are interested in what is being said. When it comes to speaking, accuracy and fluency are both important. Accuracy activities are concentrated on producing correct language, which is fit for study satge while fluency activities are concentrated on allowing students to experiment and be creative with language, which is fit for activate stage. I learned that when students do activities at activate stage, I shouldn't correct too many mistakes, which may make students less confident. When we teach writing, we should focus more on spelling, handwriting, layout and punctuation as well as creative writing.
