Special groups include beginners, individual students, young learners, Business English or English for Specific Purposes and monolingual or multilingual classes. These groups will require a special approach. As for beginners it is important to provide more visual materials and realia, give clear instructions, encourage students and revise constantly. One-to-one classes give an opportunity to focus on student's specific needs, interests and language difficulties. For young learners the lessons should be fun, varied and interesting, dynamics of the classroom should be changed frequently and be ready to make fun of yourself! As for teaching Business English and English for Specific Purposes, teachers should find out their clients needs first and develop a suitable teaching plan that will demonstrate the relevance of the topics to those needs. Multilingual classes might appear to have many advantages as students have no common language except English and they can bring greater variety of culture and ideas. Monolingual classes cannot offer these advantages, however students are likely to have the same language difficulties and interests.
