After completing Unit 1 which focused on Teachers and Learners, I have learnt important information that any teacher of a foreign language should know. I have obtained a better understanding of the different roles a teacher plays in the classroom. I have also learnt the importance of balancing these different roles. As a teacher, we should not only be managing our classes but we should also take on other roles depending on our students, their needs and the target lesson. In addition, I have acquired knowledge of the characteristics of a "good learner". Finally, the newest information that I learnt was the 6 levels of the Common European Framework: Basic User A1, Basic User A2, Independent User B1, Independent User B2, Proficient User C1 and Proficient User C2. In conclusion, this Unit has given me a more detail comprehension of what I should know as a teacher and what I should know about my students.
