In the course of this unit, the four types of present tenses were defined and described: present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. The structure that each type of present tense have were explained in regard to three forms; affirmative, negative and question form. At the same time, the instances when these different preset tenses occur were listed.
The contents seen in this unit result particularly useful because the correct use of tenses occurs rather unconsciously sometimes. It is important for an english language teacher knowing the theories behind the structures he/she is using when speaking, and not only being able to use them properly based on the habit and practice of their use. Hence, teachers can transmit information from their thorough understanding, and students learning will result more successful.
