This unit is about conditionals and reported speech, the five main conditionals are: Zero conditional (refers to actions and facts that are irrefutable), first conditional (talks about a real situation in the future that is possible, probable or even certain), second conditional (communicates a present or future unreal hypothetical situation that is presently not true and is unlikely ever to be true), third conditional (refers to a hypothetical past action or non action and the hypothetical past consequence/result) mixed conditional (refers to a hypothetical past action or state, and the hypothetical present consequence).
It's interesting and necessary to know different teaching ideas to teach this subject, for example: Split sentences, complete the conditional, chain conditionals, role play.
Reported speech and direct speech, it's very important to know and to understand the rules, the structure and the tenses, it's fundamental to use the correct activities for the students to understand this subject, for example: Intermediaries, reporting verbs and media interviews.
