The content of this lesson provided a great foundation to move forward from. To be an effective teacher one must first understand what exactly an effective teacher is (the characteristics of one), what a good learner is, and the possible variables that may impact not only the teacher-student relationship but the students ability to learn as well. All of these topics were addressed in this unit as well as the various levels of language that can help assess where an individual is and how to help them better achieve the next level. I feel as if this unit has prepared me for what is to come in the following units and given me a stronger foundation as a teacher not only in my future roll as a foreign English teacher but in my current vocation as well.
