This unit is about class management, the skill of organizing the class.
As teachers we need to be aware of different factors in the class like: the use of eye contact, gesture, voice, grouping students (whole class, students working on their own, pairwork, groupwork), classroom arrangement (orderly rows, circle and horseshoes, separate tables and the teacher's position) how to write on the board, give individual attention, ttt and stt, giving instructions, establishing rapport, and maintaining discipline.
As a preschool teacher I agree that every teacher has an own style of teaching, it's very important to be able to inspire confidence in the students, to know when to be firm or to leave the students alone.
We have to remember to include all students equally in all activities.
In my opinion the most important part of our jobs as teachers is loving and enjoying teaching, as well as having a positive relationship with our students.
