A TEFL teacher should be aware of their surroundings and how their different roles as a teacher should be fulfilled within those surroundings. By being aware of your surroundings a TEFL teacher should have a sense of self-awareness as well by acknowledging their capabilities and how they can improve their own knowledge of the English language in order to deliver quality lesson to their students. Along with self-awareness a teacher should not take their responsibility as being a model for their students lightly and should use it as motivation to deliver their best for their students. Beyond the lesson plan it is always important to monitor progress of students to measure how successful you are.
