In this first section I have learned much more about the various roles as a teacher and how each one is very important to the success of the class. A teacher must not only love teaching, but be able to command the class, assess where students are at and give appropriate help, keep the class motivated by having fun activities that are clearly explained and, maybe most importantly, have a good knowledge of the materials taught in order to be able to give good, concise correction. It also gave me good ideas on how to communicate what are good, fair expectations of my students and how expressing these qualities would most likely be helpful at the beginning of the semester. I have a better understanding of what it means to be in the different levels as well, and can now better evaluate students coming into classes.
