The different types of tests was well explained in this unit which will help me when I have to conduct my own tests in order to get the necessary information on students progress. I think that teachers can use these different types of tests if they cannot illicit information from the students, for instance: topics they find interesting, to identify the areas of the English language they are struggling with or to get students motivated to assess themselves. Having this knowledge will also be beneficial to refer a student if one approaches you and he/she wants to further their English language skills by taking external examinations.
