This topic gave me lots of different ideas to approach every stages of teaching as well as how to plan my lessons according to the ability of my students. I also found out that during each stage, we should be focusing on different things, for example if the pronunciation is not correct in the Engage stage, we can correct them later on in the Study stage by applying the "Audio-Lingual-ism (language teaching methodology)". After the student has gone though with the study stage, he should be able to demonstrate a correct pronunciation in the Activate stage. ESA straight arrow lessons would work fine however if he still cant grasp the pronunciation of some words, I can apply the boomerang lessons plan on him. Therefore ESA has a very flexible way to approach teaching according to the student's ability.
