This unit is about past tenses, we can see that it is not too different from present tenses, except that past tenses relate to past time periods.
It's very important to know the form of each one, for example the affirmative form:
Past simple (add ed, to the base form of the verb), past continuous (Subject + was/were + verb + ing) past perfect (Subject + had + past participle), past perfect continuous (Subject + had + been + verb + ing).
It's also important to know the usage of each tense and the activate teaching ideas.
We need to remember all the time that the aim of the activate stage is to maximize student talk time, which should be done freely and in an open ended way.
The most important part for me is to understand grammar very well so we can teach our students in the best way we can, taking into account their level.
