Unit thirteen covers the topic of pronunciation and phonology, being the later in my opinion something we do not teach regularly in a class, specially phonology, however the unsderstanding of this topic is really important for us as it can help us improve our pronunciation as well as the students´. Pronunciation is always present in our daily teaching by the use of drilling excercises or only by speaking the language, on the other hand phonology is a more complex topic which, in my opinion, can be a bit confusing for students, particularly if they are begginers. The techniques for indicating and teaching entonation are really useful as they can help us show the way English is spoken as well as the strees which shows the emphasis of the speech. In general I consider unit thirteen excellent as it show us techniques we can use when teaching ad also gives us an overview of what phonetic is.
