I will say the ESA methodology still confuses me as certain parts can fit into different phases in my opinion.
I think it is a great idea to use prompt cards or newspaper clippings to prompt replies and gain knowledge of the students understanding of English.
The use of a course book would be a very sterile way to teach as its predictable and a touch boring.
Being able to put your own angle on teaching is important I think and you can make it enjoyable for the class.
