The primary teachings that I took from the content of this unit are the importance of regularly testing, evaluating, and documenting students progress and language levels both before and after the lesson. This information will also improve the teacher's teaching styles/ techniques based on the effectiveness of the lesson given for language acquisition. This section proved to be useful in providing me with a variety of different testing tools and techniques that I may integrate into my teaching habits and lessons. Lastly, the lesson shared information regarding placement of students in groups based on their scores on these testing exams and also the need to evaluate all four skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
