This unit is an overview of the different components of a structure sentence in english, it is called “the parts of the speech”. The part of speech are : the nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerund, pronouns, and prepositions.
For each of them, its explain their nature, their meaning and their function. The unit gives many example of the used, as well as ideas for future activities in a classroom.
This unit was helpful to remember simples grammar rules in english. In my own experience, I learnt english “in the field” , I did not have the opportunity to study the grammar rules before learning speaking in english. It is in my opinion really necessary and useful to have in mind grammar rules and understand how the language works in order to offer a good teaching to the students. A good knowledge of grammar, will give me as a teacher a possibility to structure and plan the content of my teaching. As well it will help to answer questions in a correct and deeper way.
