I have felt always friendly with all assessments we made as students back in high school, although in my opinion, TOEFL is a pain for anybody who will try to take it due to it's time-consuming. The required vocabulary there is just uncommon and seems to be more useless in real life, by the way, to prepare somebody for it we have a bunch of good books guiding us through the process. In English as a second language, I believe one of the most important is to keep upgrading our student's vocabulary and keep monitoring this process as often as possible thus it can be easily constructed.
