I learned in this unit the role and characteristics of a good teacher and a good student. I also learned that being a successful teacher means balancing knowledge and patience, motivation and steady pace, encouragement and student initiative. I learned the primary motivating factors of students wishing to learn English. I was able to gain further knowledge regarding how to determine the level of students comprehension and it's relation to their developmental stage. Overall, I really feel this unit provided much insight regarding the teacher-student relationship.
