This unit's focus was on classroom management. Good classroom management skills are vital to all teachers. Not having control of your class can result in boring classes, unfinished lessons, and rowdy students. Effective grouping, appropriate seating arrangements and good student and teacher relationship are a few things to consider in the initial stages of a new course or class.
As an educator I believe that good classroom management may vary from teacher to teacher because we all have different personalities. An outspoken and confident teacher may manage his/her classroom better than a teacher who is shy or reserved. Students are sometimes good at reading their teachers and can be uncooperative and inattentive in the classes of teachers whom they believe are shy or reserved. At the end of it all good classroom management is an acquired skill that becomes perfect with practice. The better you are at managing your classes the more effective your lessons will be as a teacher.
