Unit four is a good overview of the present 'tenses': present simple, continuous, prefect and perfect continuous. The unit provided usage examples, and some examples of the typical student errors that can be expected in the classroom.
It provided some activity ideas for which I am grateful. There were a few, like the 'Time Zones' activity which I will certainly put into play. Getting new ideas for the classroom is always a good thing.
For me this unit was a reminder that, indeed, the tenses can be confusing because their uses can be varied. In particular, the use of present simple in speaking of history and in story telling could be very confusing for students if mishandled in the classroom. I am reminded of the importance of handling each usage of a tense as a separate lesson.
