This was a great unit for the basics of language learning and the how to work the classroom. I believe I was already aware of much of it--and perhaps had already learned it as part of my language courses in school--but studying it again helps to reinforce the material. It helped me to put all of the different roles of the teacher into categories, making me thing about them more, and thereby helping to make me a better teacher. It also made me think more about what makes a good teacher and what makes a good learner, which will also help with how I do the job.
