This unit taught what a good teacher would look like, sound like, and act like; the unit also covered the possible roles of a teacher. These ranged anywhere from managing the classroom, to participating in discussions, to observing the students' progress in their assignments and activities. I learned it is important for a teacher to understand which role should be used in different situations. The unit also went over different student attributes, and I learned how they affect learning ability. These are things like age, culture, motivation level, and language awareness. Finally, the unit went over the different language levels and what those look like to the teacher- those range from beginner to advanced, and all have their own pros and cons when it comes to teaching them.
