Unit 2 (Parts of speech) Is one the subjects in which students have more problems. This due to the complexity and variety of the parts of speech. Some of them have rules to follow which makes the subject easier to understand. On the other hand, there are other parts of speech that do not have a rule, structure or uniformity. For instance, many irregular verbs have no rules on how to be formed; therefore, students should rely on memorization. Another part of speech with not specific rule to follow is prepositions. Since there is no uniformity in the placement of the prepositions in the sentence, makes it difficult for students to understand. Despite the difficulty of the unit, it is fascinating, challenging and entertaining.
