From my point of view this unit is one of the most important for teachers and their classes. Lesson plans take a lot of time, knowledge of our students' abilities, goals to achieve and HOW we are going to achieve those goals. Therefore, it is crucial to know not only all the aspects a good lesson plan should have, but also how to structure the class according to our students' context, needs and abilities.
Lesson plans are the outline of our classes and need to be reviewed throughly in order to make our students practice in a way they feel comfortable with the process and the pace of the activities to assure learning.
In general, I always take into account what was mentioned in Unit 9 when lesson planning. However, I reviewed and learned good advices, (Breaking the ice before class chatting with sts randomly as they come in to class, for example).
