In this unit, I learned that rather than concentrating on the individual sounds in pronunciation, having sounds in connected speech is vital. Allowing students to listen to language in context helps, and giving time for students to practice stress and intonation can help students become more aware of the important of accuracy and clarity of information. Some activities may include: nonsense words, humming, gestures, etc.
