in this unit i have learnt about four basic skills in any language. they are receptive skills and productive skills. All of them are equally important. The receptive skills are reading and listening. There are two categories of motives for listening and reading : for a purpose and for entertainment. I've learnt about the number of specialist skills readers and listeners employ, such as predictive skills, scanning, skimming, deduction from text. it is very important what language difficulty to use in our reading and listening tusks for the students, to help with the understanding , we can pre-teach the necessary vocabulary or we have carefully select the text fo our students.
