This unit provided an overview for teaching pronunciation. It involved talking about stress on different syllables and words, and it talked about the phonetic alphabet. The phonetic alphabet is a challenging subject, and one that will take me some more study and review before I’m very competent at all in using it. It is interesting to see words broken down to their base sounds, and it is very helpful to visualize exactly the sounds we make with each word.
