In this unit it seems to me that exposure to new vocabulary, grammar and functions is of most importance. To have a good understanding of the grammar involved in the English language makes things like learning new vocabulary and new functions a lot easier. It is also important to understand when and how to use either the straight arrow, boomerang or patchwork approaches when introducing new ideas or reinforcing previously learned ones. The most appropriate structure will be used dependent on content and difficulty of content.
