During my reading of the first unit of this course, I have learned that in order to be a good teacher promptitude is a very important quality, since you have to think fast during the class in order to react in the correct way regarding each and every situation that you encounter during the class, and this can be tricky and difficult to achieve without experience and making mistakes as a teacher. Thus a teacher must be humble as well in order to learn from his/her mistakes, because if a teacher doesn't, then he is setting up a bad model for his students which will make them lose respect to the teacher and sometimes even motivation for learning.
new information that I have learned are, the items of the European grading regarding the language level of learners, which is something that I did not comprehend before and I'm glad that I do now.
Finally, regardless of the simplicity of the information given in unit 1, I feel that it helped me crystallize previous information that I have obtained previously during my teaching experience, because it was very well organized and clearly laid out.
