I took note in this lesson how various points were brought up several times. One of those points is Teacher Talking Time and Student Talking Time. One needs to maximize STT and knowing this helps when deciding how to group students, give instructions, and maintain discipline. Knowing the students by name is also important. It helps when giving individual attention, establishing rapport, and maintaining discipline. The last point that kept coming up was speaking to the students using language at or below the student's level. This will keep their attention while giving instructions, helps with teracher to student rapport, and can prevent discipline problems.
