Unit 5 clarifies that managing a classroom is important in the teaching process. This unit mentions how the eye contact, gesture and the voice have an effect on the learners. It also shows that grouping students and classroom arrangement can lead to effective control over the class. In addition, it explains that the teacher talking time should be limited to give students an opportunity to be more engaged in the lesson. The teacher needs to give instructions and establish a good rapport with his/her learners to maintain discipline. I have learnt that when a teacher knows how to manage a classroom, the learners are easier to deal with and less problematic.
