The system of tenses is complicated. There are twelve tenses in English grammar and three times. Those times are present, past, and future with the subcategories of simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. These grammar points can be used in an affirmative, negative, or question structure. Due to the complexity of the grammar system, there are common errors that will arise in the students' work. The predictability of most of these errors allows us to address them when organizing activities to be used in the Activate stage. The Activate stage is very important when learning grammar tenses. Experimenting with the verbs and verb tenses allows the students to figure out the appropriate usage.
