The unit talks about the most important part in teaching which is grammar. It deals with recognising and classifying parts of speech. one has to know what a sentence is,the subject, verb and object in the sentence.
The next step is to recognise the parts of speech in the sentence.
The part of speech deals with the classification of each word according to the purpose and meaning. Example The red sea covered the house.
The- is a definite article
red- is an adjective
Sea- is a noun also the subject
Covered- is a verb (past participle)
the- is a definite article
house- is a noun also the object.
This unit has taught me how to classify a sentence according to the purpose and meaning.
