Unit 7 explains how to teach new language thought vocabulary, grammar and functions. Firstly, teachers can apply ESA methods to introduce new language. In particular, teachers use the 'straight arrow' ESA structures in grammar and vocabulary. Next, functions-based lessons are more likely to use 'boomerang' or 'patchwork' ESA structure. Fianlly, it depends on students' level when we decide which model we should apply.
