This unit describes teaching vocabulary, introducing grammatical structures, teaching language functions.
How easy or difficult a vocabulary item is will depend on several factors, such as appropriacy, spelling and pronunciation, similarity to English words known already, similarity to students' own language. To introduce language structures students have to know the meaning of the language, its usage, forms and patterns. As for language functions, they include inviting, refusing, agreeing and disagreeing, suggesting, etc.
