This unit explains the four different present tense that are used in the English language, present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous.
Present Simple: This structure works well when stating a fact, habit or a routine that doesn't change. E.g: I eat lunch at 12 everyday.
Present Continuous: This structure focuses on what is happening at that very moment. E.g: I'm eating lunch right now.
Present Perfect: This structure brings an action from the past and links it to the present. E.g: I have already eaten breakfast today.
Present Perfect Continuous: This structure involves an action that was started in the past and is still being done at the present moment. E.g: I have been eating lunch since 12 noon.
Present simple:
Affirmative(Subject + Base form[=s/es])
Negative ( Subject + aux. verb 'do' + not + base form)
Question (Aux. Verb 'do' + subject + base form)
Present continuous:
Affirmative(Subject + aux. Verb 'be' + verb+ing)
Negative (Subject + aux. Verb 'be' + not + verb+ing)
Question (Aux.verb 'be' + subject + verb+ing)
Present perfect:
Affirmative(Subject + aux. Verb 'have' + past participle)
Negative (Subject + aux. Verb 'have' + not + past participle)

Present perfect continuous:
