This unit focuses on the management of the classroom and building rapport by using correct eye contact, gestures/body language and how you speak/ use your voice in a positive manner. How the arrangement of the classroom can affect the students, if the class is to big for the space, the equipment (desk, chair etc.) and how the students personalities mix or don't, this can all affect the quality of learning the student has. This unit also covers how to recognise reasons for problem behaviour and how to prevent problem behaviour. Maintaining discipline within the classroom can be hard and this unit helps with how to respond to problem behaviour when it accrues.
