I found this lesson to be particularly useful when it comes to things like lesson planning. Being able to choose the right lesson to teach and how to approach it will be essential in teaching English. I enjoyed how there were certain reasons that you choose certain vocabulary words and the way you approach simple vocabulary words differs from ways you approach more difficult concept such as grammar and language functions. Somehow, language functions were parts of speech that I never considered to be taught. It appeared to me that language functions came naturally; however, in an advanced class, teaching a broad language function can open up several opportunities to use a wide range of vocabulary and grammar covered in past lessons.
