This unit covered the teaching of productive skills, such as speaking and writing. which can sometimes cause more trouble for non-native English speakers. When speaking, a teacher can use either accuracy based lessons where there is more emphasis placed on the students getting the vocabulary correct, or a fluency lesson which allows the students more flexibility and creativity to try and converse using the language they have just learned. Both of these skills are very important for students learning the English language.
