This unit reflects teaching writing and speaking skills. If we talk about speaking, there are accuracy and fluency activities. I learnt that accuracy activities are concentrated on producing correct language, fluency activities allow students to be creative with language.
Some students are reluctant to speak in the classroom because of lack of confidence, fear of making mistakes, cultural reasons, etc. Pair-work and group-work can help engage students.
While teaching writing the following factors have to be considered: handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation, creative writing.
