This unit gives an overview of the four types of past tense, namely past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. For each specific form, it offers the details of its usages, forms, common errors/mistakes, and some ideas for activities. Rules of changing a verb from basic form to past form were covered.
However, I think the contents should include more details, such as the past participle and open question forms. They are essential to conducting a conversation, and most students are confused about them sometimes.
Most Chinses students find it difficult in using the past form of the verb and past participle because we do not need to change the form of a verb when we talk about past tense. Mistakes related to past tense might often appear on the feedback form. The simplistic notes of error correction mentioned from previous units could be really helpful for teachers.
