This unit was quite interesting actually, though the phrasal verbs are actually a bit difficult to get, since there are a lot of rules for them, I can see how they could cause a lot of difficulty for students potentially. Modals are fairly straightforward (can, should, could, would, etc.), though having been a student of other languages where modals were not used, I can see some pitfalls here, since in some other languages, there might be one word to convey all the nuances of certainty and politeness which the modals express in English and which are impossible to replicate in some languages, though the rules are very simple, some students might find the usage confusing. Phrasal verbs I can also see causing problems for students since they just add one more aspect into the mix for the students to contend with, which can just be overwhelming and difficult.
