This unit covered a lot of miscellaneous grammar content, modal verbs, passive voice, relative clauses as well as phrasal verbs. This was the most difficult of the grammar lessons for me so far because I had never had any formal training with these topics. It also required a firm understanding of the verb tenses and parts of speech to be understand these more complex concepts. It struck me as a very advanced lesson for non-native speakers and I wondered at which level it is recommended to begin this training. I certainly never learned this level of grammar when taking Spanish classes. The passive voice, for example, is a more advanced writing technique that lends variety and subtlety to writing, but seems a bit too advanced for young students.
