I did not realize how many language tests are available when somebody wants to learn English. I believe that testing is needed, whatever form that is in, so that the teacher can see the progress a learner has. While testing can take many forms, I think, personally, that the more relaxed kind of testing, such as playing games, role-playing, and such, would probably make the learners feel more comfortable to take it. As we all know, test taking anxiety is a real issue. This unit makes me think longer and harder about the tests I will perform on my future learners. It's something I was thinking about as I was reading the unit.
