This unit covered some basic english grammar dealing with parts of speech including nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, prepositions and conjunctions. Definite and Indefinite articles were discussed in addition to the different types of nouns. The difference in when a transitive or an intransitive verb is used was also demonstrated (transitive verbs need to be followed with a direct object whereas an intransitive verb cannot take a direct object).
Overall, it was very helpful to revisit some of the basics of English grammar, as I wasn't very familiar with gerunds or the distinction in usage between prepositions and conjunctions. I was also surprised to learn about the specific order of adjectives (size-age-color-material-noun) that English speakers tend to use when using multiple adjectives in a sentence.
