This unit introduces the language points of modal verbs, passive voice, and phrasal verbs. "Modals" can be categorized into different groups, such as obligation, possibility, permission, ability, and advice. Passive voice forms and usages in different tenses are listed. This unit also includes the clauses, especially relative clause, the difference between defining clause and the non-defining clause is perfectly covered. I also learned there are three types of phrasal verbs, namely intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive inseparable.
Examples and teaching ideas are also provided for each language points, teachers should incorporate more activities in class to help students master these points.
