Unit 3 is for me, a very important unit because I learned about different theories and methods, different approches and techniques. I also really liked to learn about the ESA methodology ( engage-study-activate), I find it very efficient for teachers and for students. I learned that I should find the balance between the three stages and adapt them to the lesson. Additionally, this unit contains many interesting ideas for the three stages I can use for my teaching.
I know now that feedback is very important, it helps students self-awareness and their improvement. Feedback should be clear and stimulating. The purpose is the students progress.
Correction is one part that I appreciate more, it’s a good opportunity to correct students mistakes and errors, it gives us a clearer idea about the parts of the lesson that need more work with the students. I think teachers need to be careful while correcting their students, keep in mind that the purpose is the students progress, therefore praising is very important besides correcting mistakes and error when necessary of course.
