This unit provides guidiance for teaching new language and vocabulary effectively in the classroom. It points out problems of vocabulary teaching and criteria to use when teaching or introducing new words, what students need to know about a vocabulary item and techniques for vocabulary teaching.
The unit talks about things that students need to do with new language; be exposed to it, understand its meaning, understand how it's constructed and be able to practice and produce it. This unit brings back the ESA method into practice.
i feel that i understand the way to deliver vocabulary and grammar concept and how to help students stay in touch with it, i have been reminded how to pull in the ESA method and activity ideas to help out.
