Unit eighteen defines Modal auxiliary verbs, phrasal verbs and the passive voice; its forms and usage in grammar lessons. Modal auxiliary verbs are often used before verbs in sentences to add more meaning to them and are also used to express various ideas in sentences, such as obligations, ability, and advice to name a few. Modal verbs usually change the formality and meaning of the main verb in a phrase/sentence, in some cases, the differences is significant and in some other cases, not so much.
